As an intern, you will be assigned to a mentor to whom you can turn with basic questions, problems or just to talk. This is usually a newly qualified lawyer who has just gone through the training process themselves and understands exactly what you are going through. Your fourth and final training spot is a location of your choice – usually the area you want to qualify for. Once your training contract has been concluded, you can apply to the list of lawyers in England and Wales who allow you to practise as a lawyer.
